Functional & Non Functional departments can be defined by Institute at the organizational level.

Functional Departments- Functional departments are something to which academics is directly not linked with.No student association takes place with these departments. Departments like Accounts, Transport, Library, Admin can comes under function departments.

Non- Functional Departments- Non functional departments can also be called as Programs, where academics is directly associated and students are linked with. Programs like B.tech (Computer Sci), B.Com, B.Sc comes under non functional departments.
