Attendance

Attendance is daily monitoring of students presence in class. Many times attendance act as major parameter in internal mark evaluation, feedback, exam form etc.

Attendance can be of 2 types.

  1. Daily Attendance- In case of school attendance is taken at start of day. Generally at first lecture.
  2. Lecture wise attendance- In case of colleges, attendance is usually taken at start of every lecture.

There are 3 ways to take attendance

  1. From Mobile app
  2. Form Web browser
  3. From Bio metric

Pr-requisites for lecture wise attendance - For Colleges

  1. Faculty subject allocation
  2. Student subject allocation
  3. With effect date - For faculty as well as student subject allocation
  4. Student allocation with division
  5. In case of practical or elective subjects- batch formation according to student subject choice.
  6. Time table in frozen state

Pr-requisites for daily attendance- For Schools

  1. Student subject allocation
  2. With effect date - student subject allocation
  3. Student allocation with division
  4. In case of practical or elective subjects- batch formation according to student subject choice.
  5. Class teacher allocation

Pr-requisites for bio-metric attendance- For Colleges

  1. Faculty subject allocation
  2. Student subject allocation
  3. With effect date - For faculty as well as student subject allocation
  4. Student allocation with division
  5. In case of practical or elective subjects- batch formation according to student subject choice.
  6. Bio-metric machine linking with infra
  7. Students linking with bio-metric devices.
  8. Time table in frozen state

Functionality

  • Attendance marking - Attendance can be marked either by radio button click, or by name series or range wise.
  • Attendance edit - Attendance can be edited before final freeze.
  • Attendance Evaluation - According to marked attendance, attendance marks/percentage can be calculated which will be counted in internal marks.
  • Attendance Alerts - Attendance alerts can be sent to Parents/Students either at defined time (Daily/Monthly/Quarterly) or can be sent according to user demand.
  • Attendance Reports- Reports in different formats can be fetched according to marked attendance.

Example: Subject wise attendance, faculty wise attendance, semester wise attendance, overall attendance etc.

Terminologies Used

  • Course File- Course file is class record of multiple parameters to be maintained by faculty. Course file is maintained class wise-subject wise.

Course file may have below parameters.

  1. Personal Planner/Departmental Planner
  2. Course outline
  3. Subject wise student list
  4. Course outcome.
  5. Evaluation statistics
  6. Session Plan
  7. Class Schedule
  8. Delivery report
  9. Course Material
  10. Evaluation Sheet
  11. Evaluation Parameters (Ex- Attendance, Assessment, Presentation, Assignment etc.)
  • Worksheet- Worksheet is work-done report to be filled by faculty after each lecture.
  • Marks Evaluation- According to attendance percentage, marks are calculated which will be calculated in terms of internal marks.

Configuration/ Pr-requisites

For bio-metric attendance

  1. Bio-metric devices should be added in system
  2. Bio-metric devices should be mapped with infrastructure.
  3. Students should be mapped with bio-metric devices.
  4. Student subject allocation should be done.
  5. Faculty subject allocation should be done.
  6. Term should be in running.
  7. Time table should be frozen.
  8. Roll numbers should be mapped
  9. Students should be mapped with divisions.

For daily attendance (School)

  1. Term should be in running.
  2. Class coordinators should be mapped with divisions.
  3. Roll numbers should be mapped
  4. Students should be mapped with divisions.

For lecture wise attendance (College)

  1. Students should be mapped with bio-metric devices.
  2. Student subject allocation should be done.
  3. Faculty subject allocation should be done.
  4. Term should be in running.
  5. Time table should be frozen.
  6. Roll numbers should be mapped
  7. Students should be mapped with divisions.
