Contractual Appointment

Contractual appointments are usually done for a period of less than one year.They can also be for a period of one year or above but these appointments are temporary in nature.

Prerequisite

  • Mention of contract period is mandatory.
  • Employee post should be contractual.
  • Employee expected renewal date is required.

Terminology Used

Contractual Appointment

Contractual appointments are usually done for a period of less than one year.They can also be for a period of one year or above but these appointments are temporary in nature.

Service Book

While Appointing an Employee on contractual basis, Service book has to be filled differently then the Regular Employee.

Because of the Temporary nature of their appointments

  1. Increment cycle is not applicable to them.
  2. Their Applicable Leaves can be defined separately then the other Regular Posts.
  3. Their Leave cycle works as per the period of contract, however it will depends on the configuration.
  4. System will Push an alert few days before the contract is coming to an end, to the contractual Employee and also to the Reporting Manager and HR manager.

Service Book

  • Program/Course
  • Post Type
  • Post/Designation
  • Joining Date

Add New Pay Band

  • Basic Salary (e.g Pay in Pay Band/GP/AGP)
  • Appointment level & Post
  • Service book With Effect and Till Date(In case of Legacy)
  • Salary With Effect & Till Date
  • Service Book Type (e.g Current/Legacy)
  • Employee Caste & Category Details
  • Condition For Approval
  • Expected Renewal date of Contract

Functionality

  • Able to fill the service book of an employee.
  • Able to add new pay band.
  • Able to view the service book details of an employee.
