Submission of Topic Registration by Student

The student admitted to a Ph.D. programme shall submit a research proposal in the prescribed format,through his guide and the respective HoD.The research proposal should consist of the topic of research and a broad outline of the work to be carried out.

• The Candidate desiring to submit a thesis for the Master or Ph.D degree shall register for the Research Topic of the thesis in the prescribed format before submission of the Synopsis and Thesis.

• Once Topic is submitted by Guide, it will be sent to the HOD/Research committee to scrutinize the proposal with respect to the Topic of research and the scope of research and approve it.
• This flow includes provision to allow candidate to choose their Research Topic from the list of scrutinized and approved Topic by the Research committee/ HOD or submit a proposal of Research Topic of the thesis by registered candidate after consulting with the Guide.
• Once candidate submit a Topic proposal,it will be sent to the respective competent authority and/or Dean of Faculty for evaluation and approval.

Pre-requisites

• Student should be in a running batch (semester).

• Student should be mapped with faculty and Research Project.

• Component configuration should be done from academic admin.

• Payment configuration should be done from academic admin if required.

• Guide : Guide shall mean a member of the academic staff of the University/Constituent Unit, who guide/supervise the research work of the candidate.
• HOD : Head of the Department
• Dean : The head of a university faculty or department.

Functionality

1. Candidate will be able to submit the Research Proposal.
2. Candidate will be able check approval status of Topic Registration of various Competent authorities configured.
3. Candidate will be able to check recommendation/comment and resubmit Topic Registration online if rejected or in case of any recommendation or changes suggested by Guide.
