Research Policies

Research Policies can be created for a given duration of Academic year, against which faculties can create Publications and other Contributions.

Research policy involved calculation logic for the API (Academic Performance Indicator). This API further will be converted into FDA (faculty Development assistance).

FDA is the actual amount which faculty can use further in research activities.

Research policies can either be used as per the UGC norms or can be restructured according to own norms.

  • Research Policy name and Academic Year.
  • Process Rules for Publication Category and Classification List.
  • Policy Document (if any).

Functionality

  • Defining Research Policy.
  • Mapping Process Rules for Publication Category and Classification List.

Terminology Used

  • Publication Category - It is the Category of Publication against which various Publications can be defined. For e.g., Paper in Peer Reviewed Journal, Book Published, etc.
  • Classification List - Research Policy can be created against the Publication Category Classification. For e.g., Case Repositories List_June 2017 to March 2018 etc.
  • Process Rules - These are the Rules according to which the credits of approved Publications and other Contributions are given to the Faculties.
