Synopsis Approval by Dean
A Synopsis is a short, systematic outline of your proposed Thesis which requires certain approval and evaluation by Guide,HOD, Thesis dept,Dean and referee.To evaluate candidates synopsis Guide can suggest referee,which Dean will finalize and will send an invitation to them to evaluate candidates synopsis and thesis.Dean can allocate referee from suggested referee list given by guide and add new referee as well.Dean can also define no. of days to keep invitation link active in referee login.

Pre-requisites
- Dean should be configured in Synopsis Configuration
- Candidate Synopsis must be approved by Guide,HOD and Thesis Department Head
Terminologies Used
- Guide : Guide shall mean a member of the academic staff of the University/Constituent Unit, who guide/supervise the research work of the candidate.
- HOD : Head of the Department
- Dean : The head of a university faculty or department.
- Referee : A referee is someone who has been given the responsibility of evaluating the suitability of thesis and the candidate for the award of PG and Ph.d.
- Convocation Year : Convocation means a large, formal meeting, esp. for the ceremony at a university at the end of a course of study.We can define period to identify candidate who have registered or accomplished their Synopsis & Thesis in defined Convocation Year.

Functionality
1) Approve
- Once candidate synopsis is approved by Thesis dept,it will be shown to Dean for approval in Dean Synopsis approval.Dean can download candidate synopsis and approve it after evaluation.
2) Add/Invite/de-allocate Referee
- If Dean choose to approve candidates submission then he/she can invite referee with no. of days(validity for invitation link) and Priority.
- Dean shall give priority to Referee which will be considered in sending invitation after finalized referees by dean.
- Dean can also de-allocate and assign new referee to the candidate if existing referee is not able evaluate candidates Synopsis and Thesis.
3) Send back to Students
- Dean can send back submission with Remark to the candidate in case of any suggestion or changes required.
- If Dean choose an option of send back to students, candidate will be able to make the required changes and resubmit it.After re-submission by candidate, it will be sent for approval to the guide again.
4) Candidate List/Report
- Dean will able to check approved,pending,send back to student,allocated referee to student and not allocated referee to student details in separate tab for Master and Ph.d
5) Reminder to referee
- Dean will be able to check Referee acceptance status and can send reminder to them if it is pending.
