Synopsis Approval by HOD
A Synopsis is a short, systematic outline of your proposed Thesis.Synopsis submitted by candidate will be sent to the respective competent authority (Guide ,HOD, Thesis dept and referee) and/or Dean of Faculty for evaluate and approve.Once synopsis is reviewed by Candidates Guide it will be sent to HOD of the department which user can define in Synopsis Component.HOD can review candidates synopsis and approve it.

Pre-requisites
- HOD approval required should be configured in Synopsis Configuration
- Candidates synopsis must be approved by Guide
Terminologies Used
- Guide : Guide shall mean a member of the academic staff of the University/Constituent Unit, who guide/supervise the research work of the candidate.
- HOD : Head of the Department
- Dean : The head of a university faculty or department.
- Referee : A referee is someone who has been given the responsibility of evaluating the suitability of thesis and the candidate for the award of PG and Ph.d.
- Convocation Year : Convocation means a large, formal meeting, esp. for the ceremony at a university at the end of a course of study.We can define period to identify candidate who have registered or accomplished their Synopsis & Thesis in defined Convocation Year.
Functionality
1) Approve
- Once candidate synopsis is approved by Guide,one alert will be sent to the HOD to approve Candidate synopsis.HOD can download and approve candidate synopsis after approval.Once it is approved by HOD it will be sent for approval to the Thesis Dept.
- HOD will able to check status of candidates submission and can communicate with respective authorities to take further action.
- Master and Ph.d candidate is given in separate tab,so that they can get the candidates details as per the degree type.
